Calm Before The Storm
It's just about go-time in Oregon. Pollen is flying, seedheads are forming, crops are starting to fall all over themselves. Farmers are making last minute repairs to harvesting equipment, bags are being delivered, summer help is being trained. It is time to harvest! Generally, the crop still looks good and expectations remain unchanged—early harvest and lighter seed, especially on the earlier crops that are affected by drier weather. Later crop yields are subject to just how hot and dry it stays.
Same But Different
What is the difference between Nitro-Coat® and Nitro-Coat® Organic? Both deliver the same benefit: A high concentration of the correct Rhizobium applied directly to the legume seed to ensure optimal nodulation. The only difference is the binding agent, how the inoculant and coating are held onto the seed. Our standard Nitro-Coat® process uses a petroleum tackifier. Nitro-Coat® Organic utilizes an all-natural, proprietary adhesive and a process that has been approved by OMRI® for use in organic applications. While our standard Nitro-Coat® applications are packaged with our well-known Nitro-Coat® logo and tag, each Nitro-Coat® organic bag has a special tag with the official OMRI® Approved logo.
