Field Representative

Responsibilities:

• Develop grower relations.
• Place acres for contract production.
• Purchase seed on the open market.
• Work with seed certification and other labs and industry people.
• Check fields and communicate with growers and sales team throughout the growing season.
• Coordinate seed cleaning with sales team and growers/warehouses.
• Work with others at Smith Seed to bring value and service to growers and customers.

• Represent Smith Seed’s values to our growers and the community.
• Self-motivated and willing to work extended shifts as needed.  
• Willing to constantly learn and be educated.
• Work well and coordinate with other Smith Seed personnel and departments.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Have a valid Oregon driver’s license and good driving record.
