Sales Team Member

Smith Seed is seeking a motived seed salesperson to join our domestic sales team in Halsey Oregon. This role focuses on building strong relationships with our customers. Our customer base is wholesale distributors in the forage, turf and cover crop seed markets. The ideal candidate is proactive, knowledgeable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage and strengthen relationships with customers.  
• Learn Smith Seed products and markets and continuing to develop product knowledge as new products and services are released.
• Evaluate customers’ needs and recommend varieties based on geography and production goals.
• Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all products, while striving to maintain maximum profit margins.
• Create and conduct presentations for customers.
• Maintain contact with customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Travel as needed to support customers, attend industry events and develop new business opportunities.
