And right now, the seed which most folks in the United States intend to plant this fall is here - in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. That's why we have seen shipping activity really pick up over the past few weeks. Movement has been especially good in annual ryegrass, crimson clover, and perennial grasses. We expect the next 4 weeks to be extremely busy and anticipate challenges with shipping and equipment availability, so please give us as much lead time as possible.
Growers have been cleaning fast and furious. Aside from radish and red clover, nearly everything else is out of the field. Generally, yields have been average to above average and harvest has not been hampered by weather. Adjustments in demand and carryover inventory are allowing for many new acre opportunities this year, as farmers look to rotate out of older or lower-demand crops.
