A Winterhardy, High-Yielding Diploid Annual Ryegrass

According to multiple years of data out of Scottsbluff, NE, Ed diploid annual ryegrass is a good choice for those needing a winter-hardy annual ryegrass. While most annual ryegrass data is gathered from southern states, this trial helps show how a variety might do under more severe temperatures. Ed was tested for four subsequent years between 2002-06, where the variety exhibited consistently high survivability and excellent yields. (By the way, if you aren’t familiar with Scottsbluff, look at the adjacent climate graph.) This data extends our confidence in Ed’s ability to give top yields, and winter survivability throughout the country. Find more data at www. SmithSeed.com, or contact us directly.
