Regional Sales Manager-South America
The Sales Manager will be responsible for maximizing our sales revenue, for an agriculture-based product company, through a network of international sales agents as well as developing direct customer accounts with existing and new customers. The role is suited to a confident, and organized, sales professional, who has worked in a similar role for an Agriculture-based product company.
Develop business plan and strategy for multiple product line markets that ensures attainment of company international sales goals and profitability.
Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search for international sales leads and prospects.
Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate international markets.
Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all products, while striving to maintain maximum profit margins.
Creates and conducts proposal presentations to dealers, customers and internal staff.
Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Maintains contact with all customers in the international market area to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Demonstrates the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Designs and recommends international sales and marketing programs.
Sets short- and long-term sales strategies.
Must be aware of international variances in cultural and legal issues pertaining to sales.
Should be familiar with international Agriculture-business concepts, practices, and procedures.
Must work to develop and maintain international business contacts.
Must be aware of seed production and supply worldwide to understand the current and future market.
Must be proficient with productivity software applications Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Travel Required: Position Requires traveling 2 to 6 times a year to South America countries include, but not limited to , Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil. No relocation necessary.
24 months of experience in the forage and turf seed business worldwide is required, with general knowledge and understanding of different suppliers, customers and markets.
Fluid technical Spanish and English are required, and must be able to read, write and speak in Spanish and English.
U.S. BA or higher degree required, with a focus in business, agriculture or similar education preferred. (Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable)
